WEEK 7

On 23 February 2013, my last week in internship at Etiqa. Company has held family day at Ulu yam, Selangor. Which is all branch in east Malaysia come and become acquainted meet others co-worker.  Many things I learned such as team work, social skill and respect the oldies. It is fun to co corporate with people who have huge different gap age and different races. It is very good that I have this experience during my internship.

WEEK 6

What happen during week 6. My routine as usual working at office.
My responsibilities is to manage clients who want renew their license. Manage bill payment and account transaction. Overall, nothing special happen during week 6 :)

10 TIPS FOR HAPPIER WORKPLACE :D !

1. Give a happy "Hello!" in the morning.

Do you plod into the office, eyes down, shoulders slumped, and immediately start work? If so, you're likely to find that coworkers ignore you (at best) or avoid you (at worst). Get into the habit of smiling and greeting your colleagues as you arrive in the morning or begin your shift. It's really amazing how fast this little courtesy can thaw chilly workplace relations.

2. Learn the art of small talk.

Ask your coworkers about their interests — their favorite music, movies, and books, as well as their hobbies, suggests Larina Kase, Ph.D., a psychologist at the Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. "Showing a genuine interest in them will make them feel comfortable around you," she says. Once you know what floats their boat, clip items from newspapers or magazines to help start conversations. "John, I saw this article about that singer you like," or, "Mary, you like to knit, don't you? I found this great new knitting store not too far from here, and thought of you right away."

3. Ask what they think.

People love to be asked their opinion, so go out of your way to ask, "What do you think belongs in this report?" or, "How do you think I should handle this situation with client X?" Then give the advice giver a sincere thank-you, even if the ideas are less than helpful.

4. Sidestep the gossip mill.

You don't want anyone talking about you behind your back, right? So return the favor. When a coworker sidles up to you bearing a juicy tidbit of gossip about Betty's office romance or Bill's impending firing, respond with, "Really?" and then change the subject or get back to work. If you don't respond, the gossiper will move on — and you'll retain the trust and respect of your colleagues.

5. When dealing with a difficult coworker, pretend your kids are watching.

This neat little visualization will help you keep a cool head. After all, you've taught your children to be mannerly. With them "watching" you, it will be difficult to stoop to the level of your infuriating colleague.

6. Ladle out the compliments.

Did Tom fix the office copier — again? Has the quiet secretary in the cubicle behind you lost 25 pounds? By all means, compliment your coworkers on their achievements — personal or professional. Too often, we focus on what people are doing wrong.

7. Return calls and e-mails promptly.

To win friends at work, start with good office etiquette. There's nothing more frustrating to busy coworkers than to have their emails and phone messages ignored. Your silence doesn't just make their jobs harder; it also conveys an unpleasant message: You're unimportant to me.

8. Give credit where credit is due.

Don't withhold credit from deserving coworkers. You'll alienate them, and they won't be there for you when you need them (or when they all go out for lunch). Embrace the attitude that we all win together, and let others know when a colleague has done something above and beyond on a project. Also, if someone incorrectly gives you credit and praise, acknowledge the coworker who deserves the accolades.

9. For the boss: Always work as hard as anyone working for you.

Make it clear that you would never ask anyone to do a level of work you wouldn't be willing to take on yourself.

10. Assume the positive about what you don't know.

Funny how a team of workers always think they're working harder than those yahoos down the hall, and that the bosses are clueless. Don't subscribe to that kind of toxic thinking, even if it's rampant. It's a negative attitude that makes work become miserable. Instead, assume that everyone else is working hard and doing their best, even if you don't know what their work is. You should believe both in the work you're doing and the organization you're doing it for. If you can't, perhaps it's time to move on.

TIPS WORKING WITHOUT STRESS. -SELF MOTIVATION :)

1. Be alert to the physical manifestations of stress (Sweating and increased heart rate, for example). It is important to recognize these warning signs and pass to relieve them. Simple deep breathing exercises may be enough.

2. Look at things in the face. Rather than fleeing the problem, ask yourself what you provokes a stress reaction and find a way to get over it. Immediately put his finger on the cause – whether the recent call from a dissatisfied customer or a difficult business decision to make.

3. Take a break whenever needed. When you feel stress mounting, do something else, for example, get up to walk a little or leave the office to go outside. These few minutes you will perhaps see things differently. They will at least reduce your discomfort immediately.

4. Adopt a healthy lifestyle.Exercise can help you to reduce stress if you make at least three times a week for half an hour. You’ll also have more energy and compose better with stress if you eat well and increase, for example, your consumption of fruits and vegetables.

5. Aim for a balance between work and personal life. Although the business is extremely demanding, it is essential to devote time to activities other than work (family outings, sports and other hobbies). This is what allows you to refuel.

6. Moderate your perfectionism. You can offer products and quality services without leaving you overwhelmed by the desire for perfection. Know when to let go and do you use to do your best in the competitive world in which you operate.

7. Delegate to lighten your workload. You can not fix everything yourself. As well accept it. Instead of managing each folder in every detail, so make the effort to assign responsibilities to your employees to let them work independently. If everyone puts hands dirty, you may feel less stressed.

8. Surround yourself with good confidants. Discussing your business issues with others, you’ll probably be more easily overcome the challenges you face. Consider also operate a network of key players in your area to find out what solutions they bring similar problems.

9. Exert greater control over the finances of your business. Liquidity management is a major source of anxiety for many entrepreneurs. So find ways to better control your income and expenses. Individuals can also increase productivity so as to improve the financial health of your business.

10. Make your holiday a real commitment. Take time to stop and recover, especially during turbulent periods. For example, when you leave, turn off your Blackberry. And it may seem wise to postpone your vacation, you say that the long-term risks outweigh the immediate benefits. The company would really be at risk if you fall ill.

WEEK 2

Second week, I have very dedicated to my job and of course I have to works with the clients that come to our office. At that time, I become so stressful and learn to handle all the pressure. It is hard for me to handle all the works, programming and system at the same time. besides that, I also do some mistakes and did not works well to entertain the clients. But, at the end I realize that, to become successful person we have to admit our mistakes and try to find the solution to handle it very well.

On behalf, works actually not so stressful if we know how to manage the way we working and realizing that most customers are not angry with me personally, but at the company or service. Just be as nice as possible and let any insults or foul names roll off your back. Then go home and leave work at work. The important key is smile and keep calm. :)

WEEK 1

On first week, there's no many thing that I have done. First day, meeting with all colleagues and introduce myself. My supervisor had shown me the layout of workplace so that it will easy for me feel comfortable with the environment.

Except me, our company hiring others internship students from Uitm Bandaraya and Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka. Three of us was majoring different courses.

At first, it is hard for me to adapt with the new environment and communicate with others at office. overall first week I barely become silent and learning skills by myself. Sometimes I will ask my supervisor if I didn't understand on how the colleague works.

My first week, me and others internship students only observe and taking the important notes.
